Suggestion post!! If you have any ideas for challenge, pop them here. While most challenges are easy to adap, just keep in mind that people will be using any/all fandoms, and have to make at least 10 icons. Other than that, the more suggestions the better.

The Upside Down

A challenge for changing the mood of shows? Comedy to horror, action to romance, etc.

I like sequences, but a sequence of ten is... tough. :D But you can always do 5+5.

Something like:

from light to dark
consecutive letters
from red to blue

10 icons based on/inpsired by 10 icons other users have made/posted for this community. Participant would post the icons inspired/user names and the icons created.




Not sure if this would fit here or at iconthat, but what about some sort of bonus 5-in-15 round or mini-exchange-type thing?

People sign up and link where their icons are - comm/tag/whatever.
Match people up and pick 5 icons you like from that person's icons (can be from challenges here or not) and explain why you picked them, what you liked, etc.
You'd probably have to do this to a screened comment on a post so that everyone can get their feedback/icon-love at one time.

Lyric icons/song sets. Maybe pick from a specific list of songs? Icons wouldn't necessarily have to have text, but as long as they were inspired by the lyrics they'd be okay?

10 Song titles or movie titles, and we have to get inspired by them for our icons.

Provided Color Palettes. I use that website, and usually provide two palettes for my challenges to give more options.

Awards: We give awards according to what we think which character has the Best Hair, Best Personality, Best Style, Sexual Appeal, Sense of Humour, etc up to 10.

Technical Themes:
Rotate, border, blending, blocking, half/half, no eyes, obscure crops, unusual crops, muted coloring, pastel colors, duotone(two main colors), Black & White on color, warm colors (red, orange, yellow, brown, etc), Cold Colors (grey, blue, green, etc), muted colors, darkness, geometric shapes, levels, Provided Textures, Lighting, Focus on a specific body part, off center.

Random Themes:
10 Mood Themes, Bad Guys/Girls, Vintage, Strong, Passion, Confident, Adorable, Indoor, Outside, Upset, In Motion, From Behind, Looking Down, Looking Up, Eyes Closed, Busy Hands, With Food/Drink, Night, Sitting, Full Body, Profile, Touch(something or someone), Blondes, Red Heads, Dark Hair, Grey/White Hair, Hair Porn, Short Hair, Long Hair, Curly Hair, Ponytails, Braids, Facial Hair, etc. (yeah, I did all possible challenges with hair at my Actress icontest lol) Wearing a Dress/Skirt, Pants, Black Clothes, an Hat, an Uniform, Casual Clothes. Blue Eyes, Green eyes, Brown Eyes. Supporting characters, Deceased characters, Best Friends or Best Duo. Same scene, Weddings, Dancing, Glasses/Sunglasses, Non-Humans(supernatural creatures, or super heroes).

Internet Slang: must include one internet slang on your icon: HBIC, BRB, IDK, LOL, LMAO, HAWT, etc.

Sky: Your icon must contain the sky, either through the actual cap, or a sky texture.

Wherever They Are: icon them in 10 different places. It can be different rooms, house/buildings, outside locations, etc.

Alphabet: Choose 10 consecutive letters of the alphabet and use words that begin with each letter for your 5 icons.
An example would be A(ngry)-B(lue)-C(enter)-D(ark)-E(ating) etc with the following 5 letters, but it does not have to start with the letter A, it can be any of them.

This should keep me busy for a while! And, so what if they've already been used? I've been in this community long enough that last month's mystery box challenge was the second one I've encountered, though the first one was posted by the community's owner.
