STEPPING DOWN AS MOD

I have made the decision to step down as moderator of this community, effective immediately. Apparently, there are members here who feel I don't have what it takes to moderate this community with its individual quirks.

As my being a moderator here had already been a strain on me--what with being a caretaker for an elderly mother with heart issues, fall risks, and diabetes II--this is not a difficult decision to make. I'm trying to decide whether or not I'll remain as a member; but I have a feeling none of my icons will place, as they never did in the past.

Thank you for turning something I do for therapy into another stressor, those of you who complained about me and threatened to leave the community.

Oh, and thank you for adding more stress to abyss_valkyrie's life, now, as she will be back to running the community herself with her busy work life. I hope she'll be able to finish the current challenge in a timely manner for you because I'm out.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re stepping down as mod, but I understand that it can be very stressful and difficult to keep up (I also know caregiving for an elderly parent is very emotionally and physically demanding, so I do relate and sympathize). For what it’s worth, I think you’ve been a great mod and I appreciate what you’ve done to help keep this community alive.

It was truly a labor of love until the replies to this challenge's post(s). I can't deal with negativity in my escape world; I see enough in reality.
